Heya Mummies!

I thought that my story on how I lost weight after pregnancy would inspire some of you, mummies, and not only, because the tips I'll reveal in this post are available for any of you.

So let's start off with the beginning. ;)

When I found out I'm pregnant I was sooo so happy and somehow I felt inside my heart that's going to be a girl, a baby girl that I dreamt of . But yeah I know, pregnancy is the beginning of not being just you and yourself, it's about you and your baby, it means gaining weight and feeling unattractive to your partner, it means sickness and pain, but none of these matter, there's no feeling that compares to the one of holding in your arms your newborn baby, that's a part of you, and your heart beats so fast and is melting in the same time. It's a feeling that you can't express through words. You just have to feel it.

Me, 8 months pregnant

During my pregnancy I gained up to 12 kg and maybe that's not too much, you would say, but for me, it was enough to barely walk and breathe at the end of my pregnancy, because I've always been skinny, I'm not tall and I never knew that face of mine being HUGE :))))

I gave birth by C section and a day after the operation when I could see myself I got scared, because my belly was still huge, my uterus was continuously throbbing and I felt like I was 6 months pregnant still. Later on I found out that it's absolutely normal, especially after a C section.

So, having the best hubby in the world, who always supported me and encouraged me that I look perfect (yeah right, who believed that! :)))), I took my priorities one at a time.

Having a newborn and being new to all this situation, I kinda focused on how to look after my baby, eat healthy and nutritious to feed her, I wanted to have as much sleep as possible and kept my calm, because I wanted my daughter to see me happy, smiling at her every time, even if I was tired sometimes. And I kinda neglected my 'outside appearance' for a while, because I had no help with raising my baby, it was just me and my husband trying to figure it out how this works :D

Maybe the fact that I did all that work by myself helped me to lose weight too, I don't know. It is said that breast feeding is really helpful to lose weight, and I did that too.

What I think is that there is no perfect recipe, it's about the will of changing something in your life and be perseverant, even if your baby needs all your time.

Finally I managed to deal with both being a mom and being a woman, because I realized that neglecting myself is not good for my self esteem.

And here are some healthy tips and tricks:

1. The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is to drink a glass of water with half of lemon juice. The more water you drink, the better ;) This will help your body to eliminate all the toxins and it will awaken all your organs to function normally. Not to talk about the benefits of Vitamin C from the lemon juice: it will grow your immunity and it will help you produce more collagen that's the most important for the tissues and for your skin to be smooth, youthful and hydrated.

Wait at least 30 minutes until you eat your breakfast.

2. I never eat until I'm full, because it will slow down the digestion and the more you eat, the more your stomach will expand, and doing it regularly, this will relax and stretch the muscle on your tummy too so, that's no wonder you'll have a big belly in a while ;)

That's why you gain weight, because you'll always have more room for food. And don't eat fast, chew your food to a cream. I do that, my friends know it :)))

3. I eat one salad per day. You can add to it some vegetables, seeds and nuts ( preferably raw), goji, with a drizzle of olive oil or avocado oil. I also add a sprinkle of Pink Himalayan Salt and some lemon juice. It's absolutely delicious!

4. I usually eat natural yogurt (full fat,because it's healthier than the processed 0% fat one) in the morning or as a snack in the evening if I'm hungry. I eat it with muesli, raw nuts and raw fruits (strawberries, raspberries and blueberries). Yogurt it's a natural probiotic due to its beneficial bacteria.

So, please listen to me, don't buy fruit yogurt from the supermarket, do it yourself at home for you and your kids. My daughter never ate a fruit yogurt from the market. It's 'Yacky' as she would say :)

5. If I need oil for cooking, I always use coconut oil. It's very healthy and doesn't change its properties when heated. But don't abuse it, ok? Less it's better ;)

6. I do abs at home, whenever I got time, in fact I do sports all the time when I look after my daughter, she has so much energy!!!

7. I do not eat sweets! From time to time I eat home made cupcakes and After Eight's Mint Chocolates. And that's it! Luckily I'm not a sweet addicted :D

Don't get me wrong! It's not easy to lose weight, especially when you have so many responsabilities, but these are just a few easy tips that can change your life in better. And these tips are from my personal experience. It took me 2 years to get back in shape.

Hello Everyone!

I just finished editing this You Tube Video where I portray three characters from 'INSIDE OUT' Cartoon Movie : JOY, SADNESS and DISGUST. Theses are some of Riley's emotions and if you haven't seen this movie yet, take a break, order some pizza and watch it right now :))).

This can also be a perfect Halloween Makeup, so let's get started.

I'll post down below the products I used to create each one of these characters.

These are three of RILEY's emotions:

Products I used:

JOY

In order to achieve that pale yellow face I combined a pure yellow face paint with a white one
MAKEUP TIP: you can powder your face with a translucent powder, to get rid of the sticky feeling you'll ahve from the greasy face paints, or , you can just use watercolors, which are face paint colors that get activated with water and then just dry nicely on your face ;)
I defined my eyebrowswith a turquoise eye pencil
On the eyes I applied a bright silky shimmery eyeshadow (MUFE) and created a rounded eye shape
Then with an indigo blue ( MUFE) I darkened the upper lashline
And then I blended in a Black eyeshadow (Mehron Celebre ShadoBlend Palette) to darken out the blue and create more definition.
Along the lower lashline I smudged the indigo blue I applied previously and blend it downwards to keep that rounded catoonish eye shape
For cheeks I combined a bright fuchsia blush with a bright orange one and tapped it on the apple of my cheeks
MAKEUP TIP: if the blush gets patchy take the beauty blender and run it over the edges or where you have your problem area and this will smooth it out
On the lips I applied MAC Pink Plaid Lipstick
I applied one coat of mascara ( KIKO False Lashes Concentrate)
We're done!!!

SADNESS:

For the blue face I combined the blue creamy face paint with the white one
With a dark blue eye pencil I created the sad eyebrows
On the lids I applied a combination of bright blue and indigo blue (MUFE)
On the lower lashline I smudged the indigo blue just halfway
I applied a white pencil on the waterline to give the illusion of bigger eyes.
Then I applied a coat of mascara ( KIKO False Lashes Concentrate)
On the cheeks I dusted a bright fuchsia blush
On the lips I applied a layer of royal blue face paint then a layer of white face paint and then a bit of purple-ish pink lipstick
Then put on my glasses and that's it!

DISGUST:

In order to achieve that light green face I combined green, yellow and white face paints
With a teal eye pencil I defined a frown shaped eyebrow (KIKO Automatic Precision Eyeliner and Khol 710)
Then with the same eyeliner I lined my lower lashline
In the crease I applied a combination of a chartreuse green and a forest green (MUFE)
Then on the lid I applied a bright fuchsia eyeshadow and lined my upper lashline with black eyeliner and stopped just where my natural lashes end.
On the lower lashline I applied the same colors I applied in the crease and blended them well into the green pencil and then applied some green glitter
For the inner corner I used a silvery light blue highlighter eyeshadow (MUFE)
On the lips I applied a mauve pink
I glued on my lashes, which I created, blink,blink :D
And we're done!
Disgust is ready to rock! ;)

This post will have a stylish perfume, because this is about my favorite perfume of all times, yeah I know I always say that :))), but this time I feel that this is the ONE... Tom Ford Black Orchid Perfume. Oh my God! This perfume drives me crazy! It has such a sophisticated, elegant , sultry and provocative smell that you can't resist it :D IT GOT ME !!!

This head turning perfume with its rich and strong dark chocolate and musky notes , “ is a heavy statement in name, packaging and scent, and it goes against the grain of the flaunting sexiness you expect from him,” said Allan Mottus, the editor of The Informationist, a cosmetics trade magazine. “But he may be clever going for that mature, dramatic type woman who has enormous wealth, is not into hip-hop, and has an appetite for Garbo-ish, Grand Hotel type beauty statements.”

And YES, I totally agree, this quote is like reading my mind, is exactly what I thought of when I first smell this fragrance. Tom Ford Black Orchid Perfume it's all about the glamour , sensuality and luxury.

Black Truffle, Black Orchid, Black Plum, Noir Gourmand Accord, Patchouli.

The packaging is pure luxury, all black with golden details, speaks for itself.

This unique perfume might be too heavy for some, but I consider it a statement perfume, a perfume with personality and that's hard to find nowadays.

When I wear this perfume, it gives me a special mood, it makes me feel sophisticated and powerful, and it also lasts all day long.

I'm not sure, but I think this perfume is unisex, which is a great bonus. Anyone, men or women who like to wear strong perfumes from morning to night could buy it ;)

Talking about the prices, this can be scary, but I believe it deserves every penny.

It retails for £53, 30ml and £105, 100ml
